Dr Sahar Abu Omar is a Healthcare executive with extensive experience in complex healthcare systems and settings for over 17 years. She has been working in the UAE public healthcare sector for over 15 years.
Dr Abu Omar is currently a Healthcare Expert in the Medical Office of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. The Medical Office provides oversight on the hospitals of HH the President of UAE. She has served previously as the Group Clinical Integration Director at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”, for 7 years. Dr Abu Omar supported the healthcare reformation by leading clinical integration through development of clinical service lines and integrated clinical support services across the public healthcare sector of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi consisting of 11 Hospitals and over 50 Primary healthcare clinics, staffing over 15,000 employees.
Dr Abu-Omar serves as a member on the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi Advisory Drug Panel and is a member of the advisory board of many local pharmacy colleges.
Dr Abu Omar is a clinical pharmacist by profession with Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Services Pharmacy from the University of Manchester, England, UK. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) since 2001 and a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
